I am trying to find some inspiration in little crafts that I have yet to finish. Just last night I completed a hard cover book, that has been sitting in my closet for what seems like a year. It has a maroon faux leather material, with white card stock signatures.
It was my first attempt at creating a hardcover bound book. Creating a handmade book was a great experience from start to finish. The research was the hardest part of the craft. I was cross referencing how to books, and online tutorials.
I found it most difficult due to the thicker material I used for the cover. I look forward to creating more bound books. I can't wait to experiment with new mediums... balsa wood covers are on my mind now.
